Stay Safe. Stay Home.

Grab bars, non-slip flooring, handrails, and bathroom safety upgrades that help you live independently in the home you love.

Overview

Most falls happen at home, and most of them are preventable. A few targeted upgrades — grab bars in the right places, non-slip flooring in wet areas, proper handrails on stairs — make the difference between staying independent in your home and having to leave it. We install safety modifications that meet ADA guidelines without making your home feel like a hospital. Decorative grab bars that match your fixtures, slip-resistant tile that looks great, lever handles that are easier on arthritic hands. Practical upgrades that blend with your home. The work is fast and low-disruption: grab bars anchored into studs, slip-resistant flooring, handrails, and lighting upgrades, most completed in a single visit. You get safety that blends into the home instead of a construction project. If you are a veteran, these modifications may be covered by VA Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA) grants or Special Home Adaptation grants. Ask us about eligibility.

What’s included

The pieces that make the difference.

  • Grab bars: bathroom, shower, toilet — ADA-height, decorative finishes available
  • Non-slip flooring: bathroom, kitchen, hallways — LVP or textured tile
  • Handrails on stairs: interior and exterior, secure stud-mounted installation
  • Comfort height toilet installation using existing plumbing
  • Lever door handles and cabinet pulls: easier grip, no twisting
  • Motion-sensor and brighter lighting in hallways, bathrooms, and stairs
  • Threshold transitions and ramps for smooth doorway crossings
How it works

Straightforward, start to finish.

  1. Tell us about your home and your concerns. We will suggest the right safety upgrades.
  2. We do a walkthrough (in person or via photos) and provide a clear, itemized quote.
  3. Installation day: most safety packages are completed in one visit. Everything anchored properly.
  4. We walk you through every installation and make sure everything feels right.
Veterans: may be covered by VA HISA grants
Do grab bars require a permit?

No. Grab bars are a hardware installation, not a structural modification. We anchor them into wall studs or use heavy-duty toggle bolts for secure mounting. No permit, no inspection needed.

Will grab bars make my bathroom look institutional?

Not anymore. We install decorative grab bars in brushed nickel, matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, and chrome finishes that match your existing fixtures. They look like intentional design elements, not hospital equipment.

Can VA benefits cover these modifications?

Potentially, yes. The VA offers HISA grants (up to $6,800 for service-connected disabilities, up to $2,295 for non-service-connected) and Special Home Adaptation grants for qualifying veterans. We can help you understand what may be eligible. Check our VA Grants page for more information.

What is a safety package?

We offer tiered safety packages based on your needs. A basic package covers grab bars and non-slip mats in the bathroom. A full safety refresh adds non-slip flooring, handrails, lever handles, lighting, and a comfort height toilet. Everything is no-permit, completed in one visit.
